Measuring agent ROI: clicks, users, containment, and cost
· 7 min · six12labs
If you cannot see clicks and users on the enablement site, and containment and cost on the agents, you are steering with anecdotes. Analytics should be light enough to stay on in production.
Two layers, one weekly review
- Site: unique users, page views, CTA clicks, top paths
- Agents: tasks completed, human takeovers, token cost, latency
- Join them on the workflow, not on vanity totals
Prefer first-party and small
Heavy tags punish PageSpeed and privacy. A first-party beacon that records path, anonymous user id, and named clicks is enough to learn which pages convert and which agents earn their keep.
Count the click that starts work, and the handoff that finishes it. Everything else is decoration.
